2021 NJ Agricultural Convention & Trade Show to go virtual

The 2021 Vegetable Growers Association of NJ will hold its annual Educational Sessions, formerly the NJ Agricultural Convention & Trade Show, virtually Feb. 22-25, 2021

“Normally we would be gathering at Harrah’s Convention Center in Atlantic City with our educational sessions and trade show,” a news release stated. “Since an in-person convention will not be feasible this year due to the coronavirus pandemic restrictions, the Convention Committee has voted to move to a virtual format for the first time. You will be able to attend the sessions from the comfort of your farm.”

Plans are being made to offer educational sessions on a full range of topics such as Ornamentals/Nursery, Hydroponics, Hemp and Weed Control, just to mention a few.

These sessions are being coordinated by Rutgers Cooperative Extension.  Pesticide credits will be offered at some of these sessions.

“The full schedule will be found on our website soon. You will also be able to see the contact information for many vendors throughout the area that you have dealt with in the past,” the release stated.

Registration will open on a new website VGANJ.COM starting Jan. 1, 2021. On the website, memberships and one-day passes will be available.

More detailed plans will be announced in the coming weeks on the website.
