Abstracts for Fresno ag robot event due soon

Academics, researchers and students have until July 18 to submit abstracts for FIRA USA (International Forum for Agricultural Robots).

The event, Oct. 18-20 at the Fresno Convention Center, will bring together growers, robot manufacturers, startups, investors, academics and others for problem solving, decision making and planning.

Oct. 18, aka R&D Day, will focus on cutting-edge advancements in ag robotics and related technologies between industry, researchers and students. Teams will be presenting their abstracts on R&D Day.

Oct. 18 will feature a number of opportunities to learn about robotics and agriculture, including two roundtables on automation developments for specialty crops including berries, grapes, almonds and vegetables.

Keynote speakers will focus on diversifying research and development in agriculture automation and climate smart ag. There will also be presentations on three research and development projects.
