Author tackles ‘low-maintenance’ vegetable gardening

British garden designer Clare Matthews offers tips for low-maintenance vegetable gardening in a new book.

“Low-Maintenance Vegetable Gardening: Bumper Crops in Minutes a Day Using Raised Beds, Planning, and Plant Selection” explains shortcuts and unusual low-maintenance strategies. The strategies and principles outlined in the book were tested and proven in her own weekend vegetable garden.

“A mixture of common sense, time-saving techniques, and knowing what is really important makes growing vegetables easy,” Matthews writes in the book’s introduction.

The 224 pages in the softcover are filled with illustrations by garden photographer Clive Nichols.

The book is published by CompanionHouse Books, an imprint of Fox Chapel Publishing, and is available on the publisher’s website.
