Farmer faces costly fix in river seepage

A 26-ton trencher earlier this month ripped up a stretch of land on Jim Nickel’s tomato fields as part of a $250,000 fix for a seepage problem he blames on the federal restoration of the San Joaquin River. And he may be stuck with the bill. Los Banos Enterprise
