H-2A growers’ forum eyes protecting agricultural employee health

Penn State Extension is hosting the second in a series of H-2A growers forums on protecting agricultural employee health on June 18, 6:30 – 7:30 pm.

Grant Meckley, Keystone Health Agricultural Worker Program, will discuss COVID-19 prevention and control in shared agricultural housing, vehicles, and work settings. He will address workplace best practices, administrative controls for ensuring workers are protected and receiving the resources they need, what to do if an employee reports testing positive, and contact tracing—what it is and how it works.

Growers will have an opportunity for Q&A with panelists from prior webinars, including Yeimi Gagliardi, Wellspan Community Health Educator, Brook Duer, Penn State Law Staff Attorney, Carol Salazar, Bear Mountain Orchards HR Generalist, R&L Orchard Company HR Manager, along with Grant Meckley, Keystone Health Physician Assistant and Outreach Coordinator.

Please submit questions in advance, in either English or Spanish, to Maria Gorgo, [email protected].
