John Sorenson, Vestaron CEO, dies in Kalamazoo

Kalamazoo, Michigan-based Vestaron Corp., a developer and marketer of safe and effective bioinsecticides derived from naturally occurring peptides, has announced the death of its CEO, John Sorenson.

According to a statement from the company:

“With deep regret and great sadness Vestaron mourns the death of John Sorenson, our CEO. John passed away unexpectedly over the last weekend of February in Kalamazoo, Michigan.

Under his dedicated leadership, as both a board member and CEO, John transformed Vestaron from a start-up R&D company to a commercial endeavor with the launch of Vestaron’s first product.  John inspired each and every one of us every day through his kindness, insight and leadership. To all who knew him John was a highly respected scientist, business leader, mentor and friend.

Vestaron has lost a great leader and friend. John will be greatly missed by all of us.”
