Oregon’s Cook Family Farms featured in video series

Oregon’s Cook Family Farms and NORPAC Foods recently were featured in a video series produced by the American Frozen Food Institute (AFFI).

AFFI recently announced the release of its new video series, “Meet Your Frozen Food Maker,” available for viewing now on the Institute’s newly re-launched website at www.affi.org.

Cook Family Farms is one of 200 growers for Oregon-based cooperative, NORPAC Foods. Their broccoli, peas, cauliflower and sweet corn make their way from the fields of the lush Willamette Valley to NORPAC’s state-of-the-art processing plant in Salem, Ore. where they are cut, cleaned, individually quick frozen to preserve nutrients, and shipped across the country.

The series includes three videos featuring AFFI members: Allen’s Blueberry Freezer, Kahiki Foods, NORPAC Foods and Wyman’s of Maine. Each video addresses how frozen food provides convenient access to nutritious, safe and affordable food.

“AFFI’s strength is derived from the support of its member companies and we’re proud to share their stories on our new website,” said AFFI President and CEO Alison Bodor. “The future is bright for the frozen food industry and our members are on the forefront of innovation that consumers crave.”

The American Frozen Food Institute is the member-driven national trade association that advances the interests of all segments of the frozen food and beverage industry. AFFI works to advance food safety and advocates before legislative and regulatory entities on the industry’s behalf to create an environment where members’ foods and beverages are proudly chosen to meet the needs of a changing world.
