Dane oversees a fifth-generation nursery and orchard in Bayfield, Wisconsin, working alongside his father and grandfather daily. He has focused on business diversification by introducing wholesale greenhouses and managing handcrafted hard cider operations. Dane partners with the University of Wisconsin-Ext and the University of Minnesota to develop new varieties of crops and trees for Midwest markets and was awarded a USDA Value-Added Producers Grant to increase both production and marketing of hard cider.
