Commodity working groups to be hosted by IFPA

The International Fresh Produce Association (IFPA) plans to offer web seminars supplying growers and other industry members insights on commodity trends from leading experts.

The members-only global commodity working groups series webinars are scheduled to cover apples, avocados, berries, citrus and grapes. The events will be interactive and virtual, according to a news release.

Industry leaders from across the globe are slated to participate in the seminars, which are free of charge for IFPA members. Registration is forthcoming.

The seminars are scheduled for 9:00 a.m. to 11 a.m. Eastern Standard Time:

    • Avocados: Feb. 23
    • Apples: March 9
    • Citrus: April 27
    • Grapes: July 20
    • Berries: Sept. 21

“Companies and trade associations are coming together in a virtual meeting on 23 February to begin the series with a discussion on avocados,” IFPA officials said in the release. “The aim is to give members a competitive edge by understanding production and trends in competing markets. Findings will be summarized, edited and shared with retailers and buyers in key markets globally.”
