North American Student Agribusiness Sales Competition backed by Growmark

Growmark is a supporter of the National Agri-Marketing Association Collegiate Sales Competition, which announced winners from around North America this week.

This was the second year for the event, which was held virtually April 14-15 with judges from Growmark and AgReliant Genetics, both sponsors of the contest. Students were given a certain amount of time for a sales pitch, in front of the judges, in which they were evaluated on presentation, business knowledge, and public speaking skills.

“NAMA has long hosted a Marketing Competition for member universities and branched out into the sales arena recently,” said NAMA Executive Vice President/CEO Jenny Pickett. “It seeks to advance the practice and professionalism of selling and the sales profession.”

“The NAMA experience for the students is something that as they move into the professional world puts them on a different level from others who don’t have that experience,” added Growmark Corporate Communications Manager Amy Bradford. “So we were really excited to continue Gromark’s sponsorship of this competition.”
