Pacific Northwest sales manager named by Sym-Agro
Sym-Agro Mark Gibbs winegrapes berries tree fruit hazelnuts personnel
In the position at the pest control firm, Gibbs will handle Washington and western Oregon. Gibbs will focus on winegrapes, berries, tree fruit and hazelnuts in addition to other west coast markets. He will also assist with Sym-Agro’s launching new products, according to a news release.

Gibbs possesses extensive experience with 37 years as an agronomist with Oregon Vineyard Supply (OVS), servicing the Willamette Valley winegrape industry. Gibbs also helped lead OVS’ agronomy division into a variety of high-value horticultural crops, including blueberries, cranberries, caneberries, hazelnuts, cherries and apples.
“Mark’s background of being raised in a farming community in Michigan and 43+ years in PNW horticulture crops make him an ideal choice to represent Sym-Agro in the Pacific Northwest markets,” Peter Bierma, Sym-Agro’s president and general manager, said in a news release.
“Mark is filling a much-needed role in our organization to compliment the consultive sales approach with deep agronomic experience to help give our customers the support they need. We are excited to welcome a person of his experience to our organization.”
Based in Visalia, California, Sym-Agro is a privately held company focused on developing and marketing effective pest control solutions for crops including tree fruit, vine crop, berries and vegetables.
