Stokes Seeds hires new Midwest sales rep

Stokes Seeds Nov. 27 announced the hire of Tom Jacobs as a sales representative for Michigan, northern Ohio and northern Indiana.

Jacobs is working closely with Keith Peterson for two months as Peterson transitions into retirement. In January, Tom will assume full responsibility for the territory, supplying vegetable seed recommendations to commercial producers throughout the region.

“We thank Keith for his 41 years of service to the vegetable seed industry, including 21 at Stokes Seeds, and wish him well in his future endeavors,” said Bruce Ulmer, Stokes Seeds US sales manager. “Simultaneously, we welcome Tom Jacobs as the newest member of the sales team and look forward to his contributions.”

Bringing an extensive agriculture background to the Stokes Seeds sales team, Jacobs has been professionally engaged in Great Lakes and Midwest agriculture for more than 20 years, including experience in seed sales, irrigation, crop production and equipment. The Jacobs family resides in Jenison, Michigan, near Grand Rapids.
